Espen Helping Sissel Espen Lind will help Sissel Kyrkjebø to be an ultramodern pop diva. Work is now beginning on her new, "Norwegian" album.

Dagbladet has confirmed from Universal that Lind has been asked to work with Sissel.
Out Six Million Sissel went to the USA first in January 1998 to work with the successful producer Rick Chertoff, who has worked closely with artists such as Joan Osborne and Cindy Lauper.
But the many long recording sessions in the USA and traveling back and forth between home in Copenhagen and the studios over there have cost more than it was worth.
"We are not satisfied with what we accomplished in the USA," said Svare.
Starting at Zero The result is that Sissel is now hooked up with the following Norwegian producers and songwriters:
Pop Diva "A few of the USA songs are usable, but must be reworked. Otherwise the album will not be cohesive," Svare emphasized.
The collaborators which have been chosen say that Sissel is going in a more pop and cutting edge direction than before. Espen Lind's task is to supply Sissel with a couple of good songs and a modern sound quality so that Sissel can be relaunched as a fresh pop diva in the Spring of 2001. hakon.moslet@dagbladet.no
