18 songs are already finished being mixed for an album that will be released in England in June.
"This is a Classical crossover project," said her manager Arne Svare.
It was Universal Classic who expressed a desire for such a release. And the British market is considered to be very interesting: "We sold over 20,000 copies of "Innerst i sjelen" (Deep Within My Soul) in England - and that without a single English language track," Svare pointed out.
He announced that they are working to set up several concerts in England for the fall. And next year, 2006, there will most likely be a tour of England for Sissel.
She is also working on an album for the Scandinavian market. According to our understanding, it will be an album consisting of old and traditional songs.
"We hope to have this release ready for the fall, but we aren't certain if we will make it," said Svare.
He denies that the earlier much talked about USA focus has been put on ice.
"We travel to the USA when we can earn money. But we won't be giving out any new album in the USA until the record company is willing to shell out the big bucks that are necessary to get an album central placement in the record stores," said Svare.
Svare, in the mean time, doesn't hide the fact that Sissel is now regularly doing lucrative, well paying concerts in the USA. And she is also requested in TV projects. The first of May, Sissel will present a 20-minute crossover-type repertoire in a TV show from Salt Lake City with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
"This program will be distributed to approximately 1,800 TV stations across the USA and the rest of the world," said Svare.
