Super Duo For the first time two of Norway's musical stars meet: Sissel Kyrkjebø and Espen Lind sing together on the song "Where The Lost Ones Go" from Sissel's new album.
By GRO ROGNMO translated from Norwegian by ROBERT A JONES
First Meeting "Both of them are extremely pleased. That ought to be promising," said Universal Music-Norway chief Petter Singsaas.
And adds: "Sissel and Espen fit together like a hand in a glove."
The rumors have long swirled about a possible contribution to the album by Espen Lind on the new Sissel album. First after Espen Lind finished his own album, "This Is Pop Music," they began to play with the idea seriously. The result is a duet, not just a song written by Espen. Espen Lind himself produced the song, together with his colleagues in Bluefish.
Star Team The Bergen girl and the Tromsø boy have four Norwegian Grammys between them - Espen three and Sissel one. In the past few years those two have been perhaps the two most high profile Norwegian artists, each in their sphere.
At first the song, "Where the Lost Ones Go," will only be found on the album, no live appearances are planned.
Sissel Kyrkjebø has gathered a team of star songwriters for her new pop album. Both Lene Marlin and Morten Abel have contributed songs on the album, which will be Sissel's big comeback.
